The cardiovascular-interventional technology certification exam for radiologic technologists will become two separate tests starting in January 2003, according to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The interventional exam will focus on vascular procedures, while the cardiac test will cover heart-related interventional protocols and cardiac care.
The combined cardiovascular-interventional exam will be available through the end of 2001 for those students who did not pass the first time and would like to repeat the test, according to the ARRT.
