Fischer gets final J&J, Kodak orders

Fischer Imaging of Denver said that it has received its last purchase orders from Eastman Kodak Health Group and Johnson & Johnson.

Fischer said it received an order from J&J subsidiary Ethicon Endo-Surgery Europe for 20 of its MammoTest tables to be delivered by May 31 of this year. Applications training and warranty support will be provided by a strategic partner since Fischer said it will shut down its European subsidiaries in the near future. The company said that it expected no further MammoTest systems to be sold to EES after this shipment.

Kodak is expected to receive 30 of Fischer's VersaRad units this May, per a purchase order in February this year. Fischer said it expects no further VersaRad units to be sold to Kodak after the completion of the order.

Fischer also reported that it has begun a formal auction process to sell its radiology, electrophysiology, and surgical business on May 15 of this year.
