Airball launches new radiograph calibration marker

Airball Products Medical Division has introduced a hollow stainless steel Measurement Calibration Marker (MCM) that provides a measurement reference when viewing film-screen x-ray, CR, or DR images.

The new 25-mm MCM eliminates problems associated with the penumbra effect of various body parts relative to their distance from the imaging surface, according to South Glastonbury, CT-based Airball.

The device is a radiopaque, lightweight hollow ball manufactured from 440A stainless steel. It will remain firmly adhered to a patient during the entire imaging process, and is easily removed, the company said.
