Konica Minolta Medical Imaging USA of Wayne, NJ, has introduced a new upright flat-panel digital radiography (DR) system.
FlexDR features an amorphous silicon and cesium iodide digital receptor that minimizes x-ray exposure, according to Konica Minolta. The subconsole mounted on the unit allows technologists to verify patient information and control collimation and to perform image quality control at the patient's side. This creates a more efficient workflow that can also reduce both total exam time and patient call backs.
Each image is available for review five seconds after exposure, the company said.
