Digital x-ray developer Medicatech USA has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for new flat-panel digital radiography (DR) detectors.
KrystalRad 560 is a 14 x 17-inch amorphous selenium-based detector that can be retrofitted into an existing system, according to the Irvine, CA-based firm. The 17 x 17-inch KrystalRad 960 amorphous silicon-based detector is available with a gadolinium oxysulfide (GOS) or cesium iodide scintillator and is suitable for general radiological applications, Medicatech USA said.
The detectors are available for sale to U.S. and international dealers.
