Carestream Health has won a contract to provide Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston with the company's dual-detector DRX-Evolution systems and its DRX-Mobile retrofit kits.
The hospital plans to install the units in its level I trauma center, Carestream said.
DRX-Evolution features a motorized wall stand and cassette-sized, wireless DRX detectors that can be removed from the bucky. The DRX-Mobile retrofit kit allows healthcare providers to upgrade selected GE Healthcare, Siemens Healthcare, and Shimadzu Medical Systems USA mobile x-ray systems to cassette-sized, wireless digital radiography technology, according to Carestream.
