The parent company of Shimadzu Medical Systems is donating 10 mobile x-ray systems and 50 million yen ($615,000 U.S.) to help the relief efforts for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in the Tohoku region of Japan.
Shimadzu is also raising money from March 14 to 18 among its employees and board members.
