Radiation therapy vendor Varian Medical Systems will present new digital detectors and x-ray tubes at this week's China International Medicinal Equipment Fair (CMEF) in Chengdu, China.
The company will highlight new detectors employing its PaxScan X digital detector technology. PaxScan 4336X is designed to support the digital radiography (DR) market and is Varian's lightest and most durable panel for mobile applications, according to the vendor. PaxScan 1313DX is a panoramic detector targeted at dental conebeam CT (CBCT) and mini C-arm manufacturers.
Varian also plans to direct attention to its PaxScan 4343CB dynamic digital detector. Capable of acquiring 60 frames per second, 4343CB provides for dual-energy imaging and tomosynthesis in radiography. It can also serve in universal radiography/fluoroscopy and large-volume CBCT applications, Varian said.
PaxScan 3024M is a full-field digital mammography (FFDM) compact detector designed for the new generation of digital tomosynthesis and 3D mammography systems, according to Varian. It incorporates a narrow border at the chest wall and rapid image-acquisition capability, the company said.
Varian will also display several new x-ray tube offerings at the CMEF meeting.
