Samsung Electronics America has announced the U.S. release of its first digital radiography (DR) system, Samsung XGEO GC80.
Using a Samsung thin-film transistor-based flat-panel digital detector, XGEO GC80 incorporates the company's adaptive local contrast stretching (ALCOS) software with automatic, customizable image postprocessing for optimizing contrast and edge sharpness, the firm said.
The system also integrates Samsung's robotics technology to allow users to reposition the tube head unit with an easy movement for improved workflow and reduced fatigue. Additionally, XGEO GC80 has automated features including positioning, tracking, and parking. Audiovisual indicators highlight each procedural step.
