Image enhancement software developer ContextVision is planning to launch its Altumira technology for digital radiography (DR) studies at the upcoming RSNA 2018 meeting in Chicago.
Altumira is designed to meet the various challenges posed by DR imaging, such as varying exposure conditions between patients, varying dose and intensity levels, and variation in imaging characteristics and requirements for different types of patient anatomy. The software is designed for all systems that use DR panels, from plain x-ray to angiography.
Altumira provides better contrast and resolution in parallel with noise suppression and harmonized intensity levels, making it suited for both low-dose fluoroscopy as well as angiography sequences, according to the company.
