Medical technology company Nanox has signed a distribution deal with Australian distributor the Gateway Group to deploy 1,000 of its Nanox digital x‑ray systems in Australia, New Zealand, and Norway.
Under the terms of the initial three-year agreement, the companies will collaborate on deploying and operating 1,000 Nanox ARC and Nanox Cloud systems on receipt of local regulatory approvals, according to Nanox. Gateway has agreed to pay a minimum service fee of $58 million per year to Nanox. The contract could also be renewed for another three years with mutual consent.
Nanox said it plans to provide the systems to areas that have few or no medical imaging facilities, as well as in major cities. The system can support 2D x-ray and digital tomosynthesis. Services will be provided via a pay-per-scan model and will include online radiology diagnostics and use of artificial intelligence-based algorithms, the vendor said.
