X-ray developer Nanox is ramping up construction on its semiconductor fabrication plant in South Korea due to expected increased demand for its Nanox.ARC digital x-ray source.
Currently in the planning stage, the 12,000-square-meter fabrication plant is estimated to cost $40 million and will be built next to the SK hynix semiconductor cluster in Yongin, South Korea. The fabrication plant, which will be the main production site for Nanox.ARC, is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2022.
Additionally, SK hynix announced it will invest make an investment to build four fabrication lines at the semiconductor industrial complex.
