X-ray testing and QA solutions developer Radiation to Information (RTI) has released a new x-ray quality assurance meter it calls Mako.
The multimodality, modular x-ray meter is accurate to 1.5% kilovoltage peak (kVp) uncertainty, the company said. It protects "patients and medical staff from unnecessary x-ray dose while ensuring the best image quality and prolonging system lifetime," it noted, and Mako can be used with x-ray, fluoroscopy, mammography, and CT applications.
