Syncor debuts radiation attenuation gloves

Syncor Radiation Management has introduced Radiaxon radiation attenuation gloves. The gloves are suitable for use under surgical gloves for interventional procedures, diagnostic heart catheterization, coronary angioplasty, angiocardiography, pain management, orthopedics, and any fluoroscopy procedures, Syncor said.

Radiaxon gloves are anatomically designed and micro-roughened on the palm and fingers for added dexterity, according to the Cleveland-based company. They also feature high tensile strength and a beaded cuff that makes them easy to put on, according to the vendor. A powder-free, sterile bismuth-oxide coating provides additional protection, Syncor said.
