Interventional-device maker C.R. Bard of Murray Hill, NJ, said it expects revenue growth of 7% to 8% in 2003. Earnings per share is expected to grow by 12% over 2002's forecasted results, excluding nonrecurring items this year. Bard chairman and CEO William Longfield said the vendor expects to increase its research and development funding by more than 30% compared with the third quarter.
