AngioDynamics to market blood-flow measurement unit

Interventional technology provider AngioDynamics has signed a worldwide agreement with Transonic Systems for the distribution of the Ithaca, NY-based firm's Endovascular Flowmeter system, which measures flow rates in the bloodstream. AngioDynamics will market the system under its own brand name as Flowmeter and the Reo-Cath dilution flow catheter, according to AngioDynamics parent E-Z-EM of Queensbury, NY.

Under the five-year agreement, AngioDynamics will distribute both products globally, with exclusive distribution rights in the U.S. Both have received clearance by the Food and Drug Administration and comparable international agencies, according to E-Z-EM.
