Siemens Medical Solutions said that executive Rik Primo has been elected chairman of the Medical Imaging Informatics (MII) section of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).
Primo, who is director of marketing and strategic relationships for the Malvern, PA-based vendor's image management division, will also join the board of directors of the NEMA Diagnostic Imaging and Therapy Systems division.
In other news, Siemens global clinical systems marketing manager Charlene Underwood was elected chairperson of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Electronic Health Record Vendor Association. The EHR Vendor Association was formed in November, and aims to help HIMSS establish its strategic direction and official position on issues related to electronic health records.
