Oncology device developer RITA Medical Systems has filed for a 15-day extension of the filing deadline for its Form 10K for 2004.
The Mountain View, CA-based firm said it needed the extension due to the significant amount of time and expense required of management to implement its Sarbanes-Oxley compliance plan, primarily due to financial reporting process changes related to the company's merger with Horizon Medical Products.
As a result, RITA said it hasn't completed its 2004 financial statements and related disclosures, but expects to file Form 10K by the end of the two-week extension period.
