MRI device developer Biophan Technologies said it has finalized an exclusive license with German biomedical researchers, Drs. Arno Bucker and Alexander Ruebben, for their stent technology that enables magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) in or around metallic stents.
The newly licensed technology, developed in the radiology department at University Hospital in Aachen, Germany, enables noninvasive MRI-based imaging of stent interiors and the adjacent vessel walls, according to the West Henrietta, NY-based vendor.
