Oncology device vendor RITA Medical Systems of Fremont, CA, reported that it has completed the planned transfer of all manufacturing activities to its Manchester, GA, facility.
The firm said that the closure of its manufacturing facility in Mountain View, CA, is expected to result in annualized savings of more than $1 million. RITA also commented that the Manchester facility is currently producing all of the anticipated 2005 product demand for both its specialty access catheter and radiofrequency ablation product lines.
