Interventional technology developer Suros Surgical Systems has named James Smith as its vice president and chief operating officer (COO).
The Indianapolis-based firm said that Smith has extensive experience in the medical device field from his 12 years in various executive positions with the Hill-Rom Company, a division of Hillenbrand Industries. He most recently served as the executive director of marketing and strategic planning for MacAllister Machinery in Indianapolis.
