Boston Scientific donates to hurricane relief

Interventional device developer Boston Scientific of Natick, MA, reported that the company and its employees have donated approximately $3.3 million to the American Red Cross to help victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Boston Scientific said its employees donated $1.4 million, including $1 million by Pete Nicholas, the firm's co-founder and chairman of the board. The company matched $1 million in contributions from its employees. The money is being directed to the Red Cross' Disaster Relief Fund, Boston Scientific said.
