Interventional device developer Boston Scientific of Natick, MA, has introduced a program that will offer participating medical centers in the U.S. a Taxus Express2 stent system at no additional charge if a patient requires a reintervention due to in-stent restenosis of a previously implanted Taxus Express2 stent system.
To be eligible for participation in the Taxus Stent Assurance Program, a medical center must enroll in advance through its Boston Scientific sales representative, the company said. The program will run from January 1, 2006, to December 31, 2006, according to Boston Scientific.
