Neothermia becomes Intact Medical

Neothermia has announced that the Natick, MA, company has changed its name to Intact Medical.

The company also has renamed its FDA-approved breast biopsy system as the Intact breast lesion excision system. The product previously was known as the en-bloc biopsy system.

Intact is designed to allow physicians to extract an entire sample from a breast in a vacuum-assisted, image-guided office procedure, preserving the integrity of the breast and potentially avoiding additional diagnostic surgeries.
