Elekta brings Gamma Knife to Vietnam

Swedish radiation therapy and oncology device developer Elekta said it has signed an agreement to deliver its Leksell Gamma Knife technology to Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Cho Ray Hospital is a 1,800-bed facility serving patients referred from southern and central Vietnam as well as Laos and Cambodia. The institution sees 15,000 neurology patients and performs more than 2,500 neurosurgery procedures each year, according to the Stockholm-based Elekta.
