Interventional firm C.R. Bard has signed an agreement to purchase catheter securement systems provider Venetec for approximately $166 million in cash.
Bard's medical division in Covington, GA, will assume marketing responsibility for the San Diego-based vendor's StatLock systems. Bard expects to complete the deal following the satisfaction of customary conditions, including Hart-Scott-Rodino clearance.
