Healthcare products firm Cardinal Health has introduced its Vertebrex system, which is designed for treatment of vertebral compression fractures.
Vertebrex features a new cement tube design that allows physicians to avoid pressure buildup when starting an injection, and reduces the risk of trailing cement behind when the injection is complete, according to the Dublin, OH-based firm. The system also automatically mixes preloaded cement components with a computerized motor.
Cardinal is highlighting Vertebrex at this week's Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) meeting in Toronto.
