Interventional device developer Boston Scientific of Natick, MA, has launched FlexView, a minimally invasive surgery system for unilateral visualization and routing in microwave cardiac surgical ablation procedures.
According to the Natick, MA-based firm, the device enables physicians to perform standalone ablation procedures in a closed-chest environment with direct visualization of the procedure at all times.
The technology was launched by Boston Scientific's Cardiac Surgery business, formerly part of Guidant, which it acquired in April.
