GE Healthcare and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) developer Volcano have launched a cabling program that allows all new GE Innova digital x-ray cath lab imaging systems to include IVUS cabling.
IVUS cabling is now a component of every standard Innova installation, according to GE of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., and Volcano of Rancho Cordova, CA. As a result, the infrastructure is in place should a customer decide to purchase an Innova IVUS-integrated IVUS and cath lab system.
GE and Volcano also said they have completed several implementations of Innova IVUS.
