Interventional technology provider AngioDynamics of Queensbury, NY, has been granted a patent for a laser treatment device from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Patent No. 7,273,478 covers an endovascular laser treatment device with a spacer that positions the fiber tip away from the vessel wall, as well as the method of using the device.
AngioDynamics has related patent applications pending before the USPTO covering venous treatment devices and methods using noncontact technology that's designed to enhance treatment outcomes after laser surgery.
