(Booth 7713) Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, plans to highlight work-in-progress syngo CXR computer-aided detection (CAD) software for detecting lung nodules in digital chest x-ray studies, as well as enhancements to its Axiom and Arcadis systems.
Integrated with syngo CAD Manager for viewing CAD results on PACS workstations, syngo CXR CAD can be used with Siemens' Axiom Aristos digital x-ray system. The system processes posterior and anterior views for detecting lung nodules, particularly those from 8-30 mm in size.
The company expects CXR CAD to be available outside the U.S. by the end of the year.
On the hardware side, Siemens will showcase image quality and workflow enhancements for its Axiom Artis interventional angiography systems. Siemens will also highlight syngo DynaCT, a 3D cross-sectional imaging application that enables soft-tissue imaging in the angiography suite. DynaCT virtually eliminates the need to transfer patients to other modalities for follow-up procedures, according to the company.
The company will also tout its Axiom Aristos FX Plus ceiling-mounted digital radiography system, as well as Axiom Luminos TF, a conventional fluoroscopy system with a table limit of 600 lb. Another highlight will be Axiom Aristos VX Plus, a single-detector radiography system with a 17 x 17-inch flat-panel digital detector, and the Mobilett XP Digital portable x-ray unit.
Enhancements to its Arcadis line of C-arms will be the highlight of the company's specialty systems division. New Arcadis features include an improved and ergonomic trolley that facilitates maneuverability and reduces space requirements. Products in the Arcadis line include Arcadis Avantic, a mobile C-arm with a 13-inch image intensifier, and Arcadis Orbic and Arcadis Orbic 3D, a family of C-arms with an isocentric design and 190° of orbital movement.
