Interventional technology firm Medtronic has settled a patent dispute with medical device manufacturer W.L. Gore and Assoc. of Newark, DE.
Medtronic had sued W.L. Gore in 2006 for patent infringement of selected patents in Medtronic's Jervis and Wiktor patent families. The Minneapolis-based firm expects to recognize a one-time gain from the settlement in its second fiscal quarter (end-October 30).
Terms of the settlement agreement were not disclosed.
