SIR Foundation gets $1 million donation

The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Foundation of Fairfax, VA, has received a legacy gift of $1 million to create a future scholarship fund for interventional radiology fellows, the association said.

Dr. Michael Edwards, an interventional radiologist with Imaging Associates of North Mississippi in Corinth, contributed the planned-gift donation with his wife, Sherri Edwards. The SIR Foundation develops investigators trained to conduct clinical trials research.
