Interventional technology firm Medtronic of Minneapolis has launched an imaging and visualization service for endovascular specialists who use Medtronic's stent grafts to treat aortic aneurysms.
3D Recon converts 2D CT axial images to 3D images, allowing users to perform precase planning and follow-up. The package has been developed by Vital Images of Minnetonka, MN, with which Medtronic has an exclusive global partnership.
3D Recon complements Medtronic's existing service offerings of CTeXpress, a remote DICOM image transfer service in partnership with Intelemage of Cincinnati, and Stent Graft Tracker, software that helps manage patient follow-up schedules, Medtronic said.
