Interventional device developer Boston Scientific is collaborating with Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, and Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA, on the use of its iLab ultrasound imaging system with Philips' Allura Xper and Siemens' Axiom Artis and Artis zee interventional x-ray systems.

The iLab system is designed for installation into a cardiac catheterization laboratory or interventional radiology suite, enabling physicians to incorporate intravascular ultrasound technology into their procedures.

Boston Scientific of Natick, MA, has a similar collaboration with GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., and its Innova system.
