Interventional technology provider C. R. Bard of Murray Hill, NJ, has posted financial results for the third quarter of 2010.
For the period (end-September 30), net sales were $678.4 million, an increase of 6% as compared with 2009's third-quarter net sales of $637 million. U.S. net sales for the quarter were $479.3 million, up 8% compared with the same period last year. Also in the third quarter, net income was $127.5 million, a decrease of 2% compared with $130 million in 2009.
For the nine months ended September 30, Bard's net sales were $2 billion compared with $1.8 billion during the same period the previous year.
