Ultrasound technology developer Zonare Medical Systems of Mountain View, CA, has signed a development and marketing agreement with St. Jude Medical of St. Paul, MN.
The companies will combine the St. Jude Medical intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) catheter and the Zonare z.one convertible ultrasound system technology, and comarket an ultrasound system for intracardiac imaging.
The cobranded ultrasound console will provide a new platform for the St. Jude Medical ViewFlex ICE catheter to perform intracardiac imaging, according to the companies.
