Microsulis reports first U.S. treatments

Endometrial ablation technology developer Microsulis Medical said that the first U.S. patient has been treated using its Accu2i percutaneous microwave tissue ablation (pMTA) system.

The procedure was performed on a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) at Boston University's Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, RI. Now available worldwide, Accu2i is indicated for the coagulation of soft tissue during surgical procedures, according to the Denmead, U.K.-based firm.
