St. Jude Medical of St. Paul, MN, has launched a new intracardiac ultrasound system and echocardiography catheter.
The company's ViewMate Z intracardiac ultrasound system performs real-time image guidance and visualization of cardiac anatomy that helps direct diagnosis or therapy during electrophysiology procedures, according to St. Jude Medical. It is compatible with the company's new ViewFlex Plus intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) catheter, which features one-handed control and steering angles up to 120°.
ViewMate Z was designed, developed, and provided through St. Jude Medical's development and distribution agreement with Zonare Medical Systems of Mountain View, CA.
