SpinaFX is highlighting research on intradiscal oxygen-ozone treatment for contained lumbar disc herniation with radiculopathy that will be presented June 15 at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) annual meeting in Boston.
Dr. Alexis Kelekis of the University General Hospital in Attikon, Athens, Greece, and colleagues published the research in the Spine Journal, which found that intradiscal oxygen-ozone treatment performs comparably to microdiscectomy for contained lumbar disc herniation with radiculopathy.
Kelekis's team will present the abstract, which has been recognized by the SIR as a 2022 Abstract of the Year, the society said.
