Shimadzu Medical Systems USA is introducing the newest version of its Trinias angiography system at this week's Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) annual meeting in Boston.
The new flagship Trinias system features the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to improve the visibility of medical devices and to lower radiation dose by 40% or more compared with previous models, according to the vendor. Shimadzu said it has also incorporated a number of workflow-enhancing features to provide efficiency gains. In addition, a software subscription service is available.
Shimadzu has also included Score Opera, an image-processing technology that uses AI in an effort to ensure the safety of catheterization procedures, even at lower doses, according to the firm. Shipments for the new Trianias system have begun worldwide.
