Siemens Healthineers company Varian will distribute medical device company Innova Vascular's Laguna Thrombectomy System for treating venous thromboembolism.
The Laguna Thrombectomy System consists of the Malibu Aspiration Catheter System and the Laguna Clot Retriever System, which are designed to optimize clot extraction procedures in challenging cases, Varian said. The system features a simplified setup process, flexibility and trackability, and a comprehensive range of sizes, according to the company.
Bulent Arslan, MD, professor and chair of vascular and interventional services at Rush University Medical Center, will present on early clinical experience with the system at the Global Embolization Symposium and Technology meeting in New York on May 17, Varian noted.
