The American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) has published new recommendations for multimodality assessment of congenital coronary anomalies.

In its new recommendations, the ASE provides advice for the optimization of imaging for congenital coronary anomalies, including a review of the benefits and limitations of echocardiography, cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, nuclear myocardial perfusion imaging, and angiography, according to the society.

The guideline was developed by the ASE in collaboration with the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, the Japanese Society of Echocardiography, and the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. The society said that the guideline has also been endorsed by 17 ASE International Alliance Partners.
