Dr. Judy W. Hung has been elected as president of the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE).
Dr. Hung has served ASE's board as president-elect and vice president prior to being elected to the one-year position of president. She will share her vision for the future of the society during the opening session of the ASE 2020 scientific sessions and virtual meeting on August 8.
Currently, Hung is the director of the echocardiography lab at Massachusetts General Hospital's division of cardiology and a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. She has a special interest in valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, and optimizing noninvasive cardiac imaging techniques to improve heart disease diagnosis and treatment.
