Mobile PET Systems reported fiscal 2001 revenues of $7.2 million, up 537% compared with $1.1 million posted in fiscal 2000. The San Diego-based firm had a net loss for the year (end-June 30) of $9.8 million, compared with a net loss of $6.6 million in fiscal 2000.
In its fourth quarter, the vendor had revenues of $2.9 million, up 580% compared with the $499,00 posted in the same period last year. The company had a net loss of $2.4 million in the period, compared with a net loss of $3.5 million last year.
Mobile PET is focusing on achieving profitability through higher utilization of existing units and expansion through internal development and acquisition, according to president and CEO Paul Crowe. Mobile PET Systems expects to achieve excellent revenue growth through fiscal 2002, he said. The firm has 15 mobile PET systems and one stationary PET center in operation.
