US Oncology opens 10th PET unit

Cancer-care service provider US Oncology has installed its 10th PET unit. The installation, known as Positron Imaging of Illinois, is the Houston-based firm's second mobile PET scanner. Hematology Oncology Associates of Illinois in Melrose Park, IL, and Northwest Medical Specialists in Niles, IL, will share the unit.
