P.E.T. Net Pharmaceuticals of Knoxville, TN, will operate the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center’s radiopharmaceutical production facility in Winston-Salem, NC.
The center produces FDG, which due to its short half-life must be manufactured within a few hours of the medical center utilizing it. P.E.T. Net said this arrangement will allow it to expand radiopharmaceutical distribution to more facilities in the Carolinas, Virginia, and West Virginia.
The firm specializes in the manufacture and distribution of radiopharmaceutical products and services. P.E.T. Net also has sites in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC, area, and in Columbia, SC.
