Eastern Isotopes, VCU collaborate

PHILADELPHIA - Ion Beam Applications (IBA) subsidiary Eastern Isotopes of Sterling, VA, has signed a collaboration agreement with Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond. The relationship will cover imaging drug development, technology development and diffusion, as well as enhanced clinical experience through training and teaching programs, according to IBA of Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium.

In other news, Eastern Isotopes had made its first delivery of iodine 124 to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. MDACC is using iodine 124 for investigational purposes, according to IBA.
