GE of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., will showcase its Discovery STE PET/CT hybrid imaging system with a new Discovery Dimension Console that the vendor said is fully integrated to optimize PET/CT workflow. The company will also highlight its Discovery VCT 64-slice PET/CT system, which has been optimized for cardiac PET/CT imaging.

Also on the hybrid imaging front, GE will spotlight advances in coverage and acquisition time for its four-slice Infinia Hawkeye SPECT/CT nuclear medicine system. The firm will be demonstrating Evolution for Bone, a new suite of reconstruction tools for the Infinia and the Xeleris functional imaging workstation. GE said the application suite will provide clinicians with up to a 50% reduction in imaging time.

For cardiac applications GE, in collaboration with Israeli nuclear medicine developer UltraSPECT of Haifa, will showcase Xpress.cardiac, a new wide-beam reconstruction technology for faster nuclear cardiovascular imaging.

The company said it will display the world's highest-capacity commercial cyclotron for PET radioisotope production at the RSNA show. GE said its new PETtrace10will provide customers with the highest PET radioisotope production capability in the market.
