Biopharmaceutical firm Cytogen of Princeton, NJ, plans to raise $10.1 million in a private placement of stock to institutional investors.
Cytogen said it planned to sell 5.8 million shares of common stock at a price of $1.74 a share and 2.9 million warrants at an exercise price of $2.23 per share. Cytogen said it planned to use proceeds from the fundraising for various corporate activities, including the marketing of its Caphosol electrolyte solution for the treatment of oral mucositis and dry mouth. Cytogen launched the product in March 2007.
